While many high school students are balancing after school jobs, clubs, athletics and school work, 16-year-old Dakota Fanning somehow manages to be one of the most popular young actresses in Hollywood while still finding time for her homework.
In the Twilight Saga: Eclipse, premiering later at the end of June, Fanning reprises her role as Volturi Jane and told People Magazine that star Kristen Stewart is one of her best friends.
She also appeared with Stewart in The Runaways. Not to mention the numerous films she has starred in as a child. Aside from walking red carpets, Fanning goes to high school in Los Angeles and is on the varsity cheerleading team. She even recently went to her school’s prom and homecoming dances.
“No matter how old people are, they remember homecoming,” Fanning told Teen Vogue of her high school social life, “They remember their senior prom. And I really wanted that.”
Her commitment to her education is admirable, as most teen star sensations opt out of the traditional, yet sometimes grueling, high school education to pursue their careers.
“I’m not gonna go to college right now,” Miley Cyrus recently announced, who reportedly studies on sets with private tutors.
While Fanning still has a little more than a year and a half before selecting a college, should she pursue a higher education, the gossip columns are buzzing about where she will potentially attend, and we will be sure to report once the news is released!
