Dakota Fanning's Education Background

Hannah Dakota Fanning was born on February 23, 1994 in Conyers, Georgia. She is better known as Dakota Fanning. Fanning is the daughter of Steve J., an electronics salesman, and Joy Fanning. Fanning attended Campbell Hall School in North Hollywood, California.
Fanning first acting job was at the age of five. She starred in a Tide commercial. Fanning’s first notable job was a guest role on NBC’s drama ER. Fanning’s career skyrocket in 2001. Fanning starred opposite Sean Penn in the movie I Am Sam. The film is a story of a mentally challenged man who fights for the custody of his daughter.
Fanning’s performance as Penn’s daughter earned her a Screen Actor’s Guild nomination. At the age of seven she became the youngest person ever to be nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award.
After 2001 Fanning’s career remained very steady. She was noticed by many high-profile celebrities in the film industry. Her film appearances have been plentiful. As she’s aged she’s branched out into more mature topics as well. Some of Fanning’s films include Uptown Girls, The Cat in the Hat, Man on Fire, War of the Worlds, Dreamer, Charlotte’s Web, Hounddog, The Secret Life of Bees, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. When Fanning was only twelve she was invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. She became the youngest member in the Academy’s history.
The same year, 2006, the twelve year old Fanning’s estimated income was $4 million. She has become one of the top earning star under the age of 21. She was accepted early into New York University and will enrolled in Fall 2011.
