Emma Roberts' Education Background

Emma Roberts is an American actress, designer, and signer-songwriter. She first became known for her role as Addie Singer on the Nickelodeon show, Unfabulous. She has also starred in movies such as Nancy Drew, Hotel for Dogs, Valentine’s Day, and Wild Child. Her next movie to hit the big screen will be Scream 4, which will be released on April 15, 2011. Emma was born on February 10, 1991 in Rhinebeck, New York. Her parents are Eric Roberts and Kelly Cunningham; her aunt is famous actress Julia Roberts. She has three stepsiblings, Grace Nickels, Morgan Simons, and Keaton Simons. Emma first knew she wanted to be an actress when she was five-years old and was spending time on the sets of her aunt’s films.

When Emma was nine, she appeared in Blow alongside Johnny Depp and Penélope Cruz. It was the first role she had ever auditioned for. She had roles in several films after that, including Grand Champion and Spymate, but her next major role did not come until she was 2004 and began portraying Addie Singer in Unfabulous. She earned a Teen Choice Award for her role, along with several nominations for Young Artist Awards.
In 2006, Emma co-starred with Sara Paxton and JoJo in Aquamarine. The next year, her next film Nancy Drew was released on June 15, 2007. On January 16, 2009, her next film, Hotel for Dogs, was released and became the number five grossing movie during it’s opening weekend.
Emma also has a budding singing career. In 2005, she released her debut album, Unfabulous and More. The album reached number 46 on the Billboards Top Heatseekers chart. She has also recorded songs for various movie soundtracks, including those for Ice Princess and Aquamarine.
Emma will now take a darker turn from her typical sunny roles. She will appear in the fourth installment of the Scream movies, alongside Neve Campbell, David Arquette, and Courteney Cox Arquette. The movie opens on April 15, 2011, in the USA.
