Evernote Available for Free in the Mac App Store

This highly praised app is on many “Top 10” lists, including our list of the best iPad apps for college students. Evernote is kind of like the ultimate notebook, in which students can not only jot down notes, also save photos and voice recordings. The beauty of this app it that once it’s installed in whatever computers and phones that you use, it automatically syncs, so that your notes will always be there without you needing to remember to do anything.
Another great feature of Evernote is that it makes hand-written documents searchable. So, if you take a photo of the board during class, you can later go back and search for keywords written in that photo. Although some professor’s handwriting may befuddle the application, on the whole this feature works almost like magic.
What’s best is that Evernote isn’t limited to Mac products. You can sync Android, BlackBerry, Palm WebOS, Windows Moble in addition to iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and Macs all with this one app.
