Hottest Prom Trends for 2011

Halston Heritage, Nordstrom BP, David's Bridal, ABS by Allen Schwartz
High School prom is, for many teenage girls, the most monumental night of their high school careers. Along with graduation, finding out your SAT scores and receiving your first college acceptance letter, picking out a senior prom dress is a memorable moment that you’ll hopefully look back on as a wonderful beginning to the celebration that is your transition from high school to college.
They’ll be numerous pictures and Twit Pics taken and Flip Cam videos uploaded to Facebook for you to remember the night forever, so you definitely want to make sure you’re looking and feeling your best!

Some of the trends for this May to keep in mind when you’re out hitting the stores for that perfect dress are neutral, soft colors, bold prints, vibrant colors and, of course, you can never go wrong with a little black dress. The most popular neckline is still the sweetheart style with an empire waist with textures and layers.
Also keep in mind that when shopping, many e-commerce websites (stores that sell their products online) have special Prom 2011 sections to make browsing more convenient! Macy’s.com, among other stores, even have Plus Size prom dress sections, too!

Shoes should be comfortable, yet dressy, with a girly young flair. Save those racy stilettos for when you hit the night clubs in your early 20’s.
The sparkle accented up-do’s are so 1999, so let your hair hang loose and add a couple relaxed curls to glam it up a bit. If your dress is really calling for an up-do, a simple, sleek bun is what we recommend!
Whatever you end up wearing we hear at EDU In Review hope you and your friends have a fantastic night and be sure to send us your Twit Pics @EDUInReview for us to Re-Tweet!
