Jessica Alba's Education Background

Jessica Marie Alba was born on April 28, 1981 in Pomona, California. Her parents are Mark and Catherine Alba. Alba has a younger brother named Joshua. Alba’s father had an Air Force career that took the family to Biloxi, Mississippi and Del Rio, Texas, before settling back in California when she was nine years old.
Alba graduated from high school when she was only sixteen and she subsequently attended the Atlantic Theater Company.
Alba’s interest in acting began at the age of five. In 1992 Alba won an acting competition in Beverly Hills, California. The grand prize was free acting classes. Nine months later Alba was signed with an agent.
Alba’ first appearance on film was a small role in the 1994 feature Camp Nowhere. Her career moved into television in 1994. Alba was noticed in 1999 after she appeared with Drew Barrymore in the romantic comedy Never Been Kissed.
Alba’s big break came when writer/director James Cameron chose Alba for the role of the genetically-engineered super-soldier on the Fox television series Dark Angel. The show ran for two seasons until 2002. Alba received critical acclaim as well as a Golden Globe nomination for her work on Dark Angel. Some of Alba’s most notable film roles have included a dancer-choreographer in Honey, dancer Nancy Callahan in Sin City, and as the Marvel Comics character Sue Storm in Fantastic Four.
Alba is married to Cash Warren. The couple has one daughter, Honor Marie Warren, and they are expecting their second child in 2011.
