Josh Duhamel's Education Background

Josh Duhamel is an American actor known for his work in Transformers portraying Danny McCoy on NBC’s television show, Las Vegas. His next movie to hit the big screens will be the third installment of the Transformers movies, Dark of the Moon, which will be released on June 29, 2011. EDUinReview will now take a look at the education background of this heart throb.
Duhamel was born on November 14, 1972, in Minot, North Dakota. His parents are Bonnie Kemper and Larry Duhamel, who divorced when Duhamel was young. He and his three younger sisters grew up with their mother. Duhamel went to Minot State University where he studied pre-dentistry. While in college, he was the back-up quarterback for the school’s football team. Duhamel did not graduate because he dropped out with only one-and-a-half credits keeping him from fulfilling his bachelor’s degree.

After college, Duhamel moved to northern California. He landed his first acting career in a music video for Donna Summer’s song, I Will Go with You (Con te partiro) in 1998. The next year, Duhamel appeared in Christina Aguilera’s video for Genie in a Bottle. Soon after this, he landed the role of Leo du Preson the soap opera, All My Children. He stayed with the show until 2002, when he decided to leave the soap opera in order to pursue other acting opportunities.
In 2003, he began acting as Danny McCoy on Las Vegas; he kept this role until 2008 when the show was cancelled. In 2004, Duhamel made his first big-screen appearance in Win a Date with Tad Hamilton!. It was Duhamel’s work in Las Vegas that landed him his next big movie role in Transformers in 2007. Duhamel reprised his role in the second Transformers movie and will again keep his character going in the third movie.
On a personal note, Duhamel is married to singer Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas. The couple met in September 2004 and married in January 2009. He is a co-owner for a restaurant called 10 North Main in his hometown, but he currently lives in Brentwood, California.
