Kate Moss' Education Background

Kate Moss was born on January 16, 1974 in Addiscombe, Croydon, London. Her parents are Peter Edward Moss, a travel agent, and Linda Rosina (Shepherd), a barmaid. Moss has a younger brother named Nick and a half-sister and half-brother. Moss’ parents divorced when she was thirteen years old.
Moss attended Ridgeway Primary School and Riddlesdown High School in Purley. She joined the Labour Party at age sixteen and campaigned against Conservatism in her local area.
When Moss was fourteen she was discovered by the founder of Storm Model Management, at JFK Airport in New York City. One of Moss’ first notable works was when she was sixteen. Moss appeared in the British magazine The Face. In the 1990s Moss became known for her unique look. Her look was opposite of the supermodels of the day. Models such as Cindy Crawford, Elle Macpherson, Claudia Schiffer, and Naomi Campbell, were known for their curvaceous and tall figures. Moss brought in the era of the “heroin chic” look in 1993.
Moss’s modeling career has been extensive. She has appeared on over 50 magazine covers and magazine spreads. Moss has worked for Italian, French, American, and British designers including Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Calvin Klein, Chanel, Rimmel, and Bulgari.
Moss has been the featured model in most major fashion magazines. Vogue magazines, Another Man, Vanity Fair, The Face, and W and some of the top magazines Moss has appeared in.
Moss is also famous for her high-profile relationships and party lifestyle. In 2007 it was estimated that Moss earned $9 million in one year.
