Kirstie Alley's Education Background

Kirstie Alley is an American actress whose first claim to fame was her role in the television show, Cheers. She starred in several movies after the show left the airwaves, including Look Who’s Talking, and then virtually disappeared from the public eye until 2010 when she created her own reality show, Kirstie Alley’s Big Life. Kirstie had gained quite a bit of weight and the show followed her weight loss journey after her Jenny Craig campaign. Now, Kirstie is set to be a contestant on Dancing with the Stars in it’s 12th season. EDUinReview will now take a look at Kirstie’s education background and person life.
Kirstie was born on January 12, 1951 in Wichita, Kansas. Her parents are Lillian and Robert Alley, and she has two siblings, Coletter and Craig. Kirstie grew up in Wichita and attended Wichita Southeast High School. During high school, Kirstie was a cheerleader. She graduated high school in 1969 and then attended college at Kansas State University.
After college, Kirstie moved to Los Angeles with dreams of working as an interior designer. When she was in LA, she appeared on the popular game show, Match Game, and won several games. She then appeared on another game show, Password Plus, in 1980.

Two years later, Kirstie appeared in her first movie, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. Then in 1989, she stared in Look Who’s Talking as Mollie Ubriacco, the mother of an infant in this romantic comedy. From 1987 to 1993, Kirstie acted in Cheers and won both an Emmy and a Golden Globe Award for her role as Rebecca Howe.
Kirstie lost more than 50 pounds following the Jenny Craig program, but when she started to gain the weight back in 2008, she was replaced by Valerie Bertinelli. Kirstie created her own reality television show, Kirstie Alley’s Big Life, in 2010 to follow her weight loss journey. Perhaps dancing every week on Dancing with the Stars will also help her tone up and slim down. Tune it to find out!
