Mural Made of 112,640 Post-its to Celebrate Company's 30th Anniversary

In a country where innovation and creativity is crucial to the continued success of a corporation, Post-it celebrates their 30-year anniversary with an exhibit in New York City’s Grand Central Station’s Vanderbilt Hall.
On Tuesday, August 3, 2010, television star Angela Kinsey from “The Office” partnered with Publicolor (the nonprofit development program that encourages at-risk youth to bring pleasantry and color to public environments) and Post-it Brand to unveil the world’s largest artistically created billboard made completely out of 112,640 Super Sticky Notes Post-its. Taking over a month to construct, the monumental piece broke numerous records.
Before the unveiling Post-it Brand from 3M and Publicolor held a national student design contest to attain inclusions for the exhibit. Children were instructed to create an original piece of art also made entirely out of Post-its and the winners are also on display in Vanderbilt Hall. Seventeen-year-old Allison Hilgert and 16-year-old Ysanne Taylor’s creations ‘stuck’ out from the entries and they won $5,000, a trip to New York and a year’s supply of Post-it products for their school, Lecanto School of Art in Florida.
