Robert Pattinson's Education Background

Robert Pattinson is an English actor who is probably best known for his portrayal of Edward Cullen in the Twilight saga movies. He was also well-known before his days as a vampire when he starred as Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. He is now set to grace the big screen again when Water for Elephants opens on April 22, 2011 in the USA. His co-star in the Depression-era movie is Reese Witherspoon. Pattinson was born on May 13, 1986 in London, England. His parents are Clare and Richard Pattinson, and he is the youngest of three children. Pattinson attended Tower House School in London until he was 12-years old and then he attended the Harrodian School. While in school, Pattinson started acting in amateur plays, such as Guys and Dolls, Anything Goes, Macbeth, and Tess of the D’Ubervilles.

In 2004, he his first supporting actor role in a made-for-television film, Ring of the Nibelungs. The next year, Pattinson got his first taste of fame when he portrayed Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire; The Times named him the “British Star of Tomorrow” for his performance. Then in 2008, Pattinson really made female fans start to swoon when he appeared in Twilight as Edward Cullen, opposite Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart. The three young actors rose to international fame and a romance between Stewart and Pattinson has plagued magazines since then.
Pattinson has appeared in several other films, including Remember Me, which he executively produced himself, and Little Ashes. His next movie to be released is Water for Elephants and he will also star in Bel Ami, which is set to be released in the USA later this year.
In addition to acting, Pattinson is a talented musician who plays guitar and piano. His songs have appeared in the soundtracks for Twilight and How To Be. He has not really expressed a desire to pursue a professional music career yet, but has said that it could be his backup plan if acting does not work out for him. Luckily, his acting career seems to be going very well to date, so he does not have to worry about that.
