Taylor Lautner's College Plans Postponed

Twilight is one of the biggest pop culture phenomena of our generation. The books have sold more than 100 million copies around the world and have been translated into 37 different languages. And if you thought the books were a big deal, you should have been at the midnight premiere of Eclipse on June 30. The theater was filled with many screaming, sighing fans. I hate to admit that I was there, but I was, just because I wanted to see Taylor Lautner shirtless once again.
Luckily for me, Lautner plans on baring his abs in many more movies in the future. Unfortunately though, he plans on temporarily postponing his college education in order to do so. Recently, Lautner did say that school is important to him.
“I finished high school, I immediately enrolled in my local community college,” Lautner told David Letterman. “But as soon as Twilight hit, [it has been] kind of hard to do anything.”
Lautner’s new-found fame is probably not going to stop anytime soon. I mean, come on? Have you seen this boy? There’s a very small chance he will never be out of the limelight, and therefore, he might not have a chance to finish his education.
Many celebrities, including Adam Sandler, Jay Leno, and Ashton Kutcher, have earned their college degrees. Justin Bieber plans on pursuing a college education as well. So, hopefully this will be a case of peer pressure that goes the right way and Lautner will earn his degree – and continue making movies without his shirt on. Hey, a girl can hope, right?
