University of Kentucky Recruits Basketball Player John Wall

John Wall, the #1 College Basketball recruit, just signed with the University of Kentucky.
The number one high school basketball player, John Wall, has agreed to play college ball for the University of Kentucky. Wall has been the top high school player in the nation for over a year, according to Rivals.com.
“In the end, I just felt I wanted to play for Coach Cal,” Wall said. “Coaches give different visions of what they can do for you when they talk to you. And all of those are impressive, but my long relationship with Coach Cal and what he can do for me in his program was the main thing. It came down to where my heart was, though. Every time I talked about schools, Coach Cal was the first thing that I always talked about.”
Some people are concerned for Wall because the University of Kentucky has already recruited Eric Bledsoe, who plays the same position at Wall. Bledsoe and Wall are both top-notch point-guards, but Wall sees the competition as a benefit, not a negative.
“I’ve always had to fight for my position,” Wall said. “That’s what I had to do when I first played for [my high school]. I’m used to fighting. It’s another challenge for me to come to Kentucky and fight for my position.”
The University of Kentucky is set to have a great season next year, having already recruited four five-star prospects to its team, including Wall, Bledsoe, DeMarcus Cousins, and Daniel Orton. Experts are saying this is one of the best recruit groups in the history of college basketball.
