Valentino Rossi's Education Background

Valentino Rossi was born on February 16, 1979 in Urbino, Italy. When he was still a child when the family moved to Tavullia. Rossi’s love of racing came naturally as his father, Graziano Rossi, was a former motorcycle racer. Rossi’s mother, Stefania, did not want her young son on a motorcycle, so he began racing go-karts as a young child.
The young racer and his father loved the ambition of speed. Graziano replaced his five year old son’s 60cc go-kart motor with a 100cc notional kart motor in 1984. Championships came early for Rossi. He won the regional kart championship in 1990. The cost of kart racing proved to be too high and the Rossi’s decided to switch exclusively minimoto, or minibike racing. From 1992 to 1992 Rossi learned the ups and downs of minimoto racing. In 1994 Rossi began riding motorcycles for Aprilia. Aprilia is an Italian motorcycle company, one of the seven marques owned by Piaggio, the world’s fourth largest motorcycle manufacturer.
Rossi had minor success in the 1996 World Championship season. In August of that year he won his first World Championship Grand Prix at Brno in the Czech Republic. He won riding an AGV Aprilia RS125R. Rossi continued to dominate the 125cc World Championship in the following 1997 season, winning 11 of the 15 races.
In 2000 Rossi won the 250cc World Championship. He was rewarded by being given a ride with Honda in what was then the ultimate class in World Championship motorcycle racing. Rossi won his first 500cc World Championship in 2001 (winning 11 races) in the final year of that class. Rossi’s career has flourished, rarely having any bad seasons.
He took the MotoGP World Championships (also with Honda) in 2002 and 2003, and continued his streak of back-to-back championships by winning the 2004 and 2005 titles after leaving Honda to join Yamaha, before regaining the title in 2008 and retaining it in 2009.He left Yamaha to join Ducati for the 2011 season.
Rossi owns the record with nine Grand Prix World Championships to his name, making him one of the most successful motorcycle racers of all time.
