Vinny Guadagnino's Education Background

Vinny Guadagnino is an Italian American reality television star who is famous for his part in the popular MTV show, Jersey Shore. Vinny is from Staten Island, New York. EDUinReview will now take a look at the education background of this young celebrity.
During the first season, Vinny hung out in the shadows of the show, content to let the others hog the attention. He was shy and reserved, and many thought he might have been too smart for the show. Why? Because this former political aid often spoke of attending law school.
Vinny attended the State University of New York New Paltz and CUNY College of Staten Island, where he studied political science. However, something else came up that prevented him from continuing his studies:
“I was going to go to law school, so I was studying for my LSATs and hooking that up,” said Vinny. “That’s when somebody sent me the casting thing. It happened right when I graduated; the first opportunity that really came my way.”
Unlike the other Guidos and Guidettes on the show, Vinny refuses to play the dumb-card.
“I straight-up told MTV when they picked me that I went to college, and I wouldn’t dumb myself down. I eloquently described to them how to party at the Jersey Shore. I definitely didn’t – and don’t – hide [that side of me.]”
Vinny had hoped to go to Harvard or Yale for law school. However, his LSAT score was not high enough to get into those schools, but he did get into a few very good ones. Vinny does not want to be a lawyer; he simply wants the degree.
“I think it’s very prestigious to have a law degree. You can go into politics, the FBI, Wall Street. I would never rule that out. But I don’t want to be a lawyer. I have a lawyer now, and I see what he does, and it’s not for me.
Luckily, Vinny is not too studious to not fit in with the other member of the Jersey Shore. He is a self-confessed mama’s boy and is very close to his family. He loves to make others laugh and is a natural entertainer. He also is loyal to his friends, and sticks up for them when other people talk badly about them.
“We’ve been given a rare opportunity where we have a couple of seasons [on our reality show] and we’re on one of the biggest shows on TV. We are all pretty smart kids; you don’t see that, but we’re not idiots. We can transition the opportunity we’re given and transition it to something else.”
